Thoreau's Cabin in the Woods

In 1845 Henry D. Thoreau went to live in the woods near Waldon's Pond. He lived in a 10 feet by 15 feet (150 square feet) cabin, wrote extensively, and became an advocate of simplifying one's life.

Can you imagine what he would say about our lives today?

Outline of Technical Issues

Building a Cabin is not "rocket science" - but it is not "childs play" either.

I believe anyone can do it but (to do it right) will rerquire dreaming, planning, sketching, coordination and the mastery of a curtain number of technical details. This section is designed to identify the technical subjects that must be understood and outlines a approch to learn them.
