Remote GreenShelters can be equipped with solar cells, wind turbines, geo-thermal systems and batteries. Many R.V. equipment sales shops carry small solar power systems which are fairly cheap and easy to install. Keep in mind, however, that the solar array affordable and practical for such applications will (at best) generate enough power for lights and a TV and radio. No pop-up toasters or electric hair dryers. Even then, the installation of energy efficient lights is in order.
